Hi Mum, do you know where I am now? Imagine, I’m in Budapest, the wonderful capital of Hungary. You know, good wine, paprika and goulash...(Well, maybe more...)After having an exhausting travel, I was just hoping that I had booked in the right hostel.And I did! The hosts were already waiting for me with a nice, cozy and clean room, filled up with good smell of fresh bedlinen.And just some minutes later I was already given all the useful information to find my way easily in the city.You know, I am keen on contemporary art, so I asked them where to go, what to see, and finally they almost planned my 3-day stay: exhibitions, concerts, performances, underground events, etc.But first the musts nearby: Opera, Heroes' Square, St.Stephan Basilica, Main Jewish Synagogue and the Castle district.The place has only privates rooms, that means very quite, like a peaceful island in the middle of the city.I've realized the first night how centrally located the hostel is.Octogon square is a meeting point for locals and most of the sights are within walking distance.And the night bus stops almost by the entrance (!).I was lucky to have free internet access, free morning coffee and there is also some breakfast to have.This place will never surprise you with hidden charges.Well, that's all for now.There are still plenty of things to write about, but I tell you more when I get back home.Regards from Budapest, Marylin PS.: A guy (;-) whom I met in the bath mentioned that the building of the hostel is under UNESCO World Heritage protection. .
